WorkProfile is the social networking site used by individuals, recruiters and businesses to find talent, products and services. If you have not registered and created your WorkProfile then you won't appear in any searches, meaning lost opportunities.

When you register you fill in your WorkProfile, which is simply your skills, career history, experiences, interests and ambitions all showcased in one neat profile, your WorkProfile.

Having a WorkProfile is also a great way to record your achievements to date, and let people know what you want to achieve in life. This is of interest to employers, your peer group and those looking to connect with people that have your skills.

 

  1. Why should I create a WorkProfile?

    WorkProfile enhances your online presence in the following ways:

    • Employers & recruiters will discover you more easily
    • You can network with companies that need you
    • You will get noticed by the people you want to know

  2. How do I verify my WorkProfile?

    Verify your WorkProfile by clicking 'WorkProfile' in the main top menu. Click 'Edit WorkProfile' and select the 'Verify' option. Verifying your WorkProfile adds credibility to you, and helps people build confidence in your WorkProfile.

  3. How can I see who is following me?

    Followers are not identified to you to discourage reciprocal following and spamming. This means a user will not know you have viewed their WorkProfile.

  4. How do I block users from following me?

    If you would like to block a user from following you, simply go to their WorkProfile, click the 'Follow' button, you will see a popup menu, select 'Block'.

  5. How do I publish a blog on WorkProfile?

    Click on the 'home' button at the top on the left of the page. Click on the 'Blogs' button. Click on the red 'Write New Blog' button at the top. You can then add a blog with images and web links, and publish it to your followers. You can also use the social icons that will appear below your blog to share it on other social networks.

  6. How do I post a status update?

    Click on the 'home' button at the top on the left of the page. Then, in the input box under the 'status updates' button add the text you want to share. You can also include web links and one image.

  7. Where are the groups?

    On WorkProfile, the groups are called 'Hubs. Click on the 'Hubs' button in the top main menu. Join as many hubs as you like, there is no limit. Once you have joined a hub you can post new topics or comments. You can also add web links.

  8. Can I start my own group?

    WorkProfile does not allow members to start new groups so you must join the ones provided. If you feel we have not provided a group that you want to see, please roll your mouse over your small image icon in the top right of the screen. A drop down menu will appear. Select 'Feedback'. Select 'New Group Request' above the input box. Type your message into the input box and send it to us.

  9. Can I add a WorkProfile logo to my email signature?

    Yes. Choose any size WorkProfile logo from here: WorkProfile Logo.

    Then add it to your email signature or website. Click on 'WorkProfile' in the main top menu. Copy the WorkProfile URL in your browser and add it as a link onto your WorkProfile logo.

  10. Can I import my LinkedIn profile to save time?

    Yes. Click on 'WorkProfile' in the main top menu. Click 'Edit WorkProfile'. Click 'Import your LinkedIn Profile'. Enter your LinkedIn login details and click 'Allow Access'. Your LinkedIn profile will then be imported and saved.

  11. How can I ensure people find me on WorkProfile?

    1. On your WorkProfile make sure you fill in the 'Why Follow Me?' section, the 'My Work Keywords' section and the 'My Interests' section. They appear on the right of your WorkProfile and they will ensure you are listed in all relevant searched by members.
    2. On your WorkProfile make sure you fill in all sections including skills, qualifications, interests and contact details.
    3. Ensure you have a picture uploaded.
    4. Verify your WorkProfile by clicking 'Edit WorkProfile' and selecting the 'Verify' option.

  12. How do I get help or submit feedback?

    Roll your mouse over your small image icon in the top right of the screen. A drop down menu will appear. Select 'Feedback'. Select the relevant message type above the input box. Type your message into the input box and send it to us.

  13. How do I reset my password?

    Roll your mouse over your small image icon in the top right of the screen. A drop down menu will appear. Select 'Account Settings'. Fill in the fields under the 'Change Password' heading on the right of the screen. Click 'Update Password' to complete the process.
